My first anniversary at GE

Oops,I cant believe tat my professional life is 1 year old... It seems like yesterday tat i joined here at GE... bt its been a year,definitely a very eventful year, my first year away from home ;-)))))))

Well today is a memorable day for me... guess y??? im celebrating my 1st anniversary at GE(obviously at Hyd) today... ok u might think tat all ppl do this... wat big deal... ya i felt the same when i started to office today morning... bt many surprises were in store for me at office... when i reached my place there was a balloon there with words "Congratulations" on it... i actually found tat childish;-)))))Then when i opened my mailbox, there were many mails from my manager, leads and friends all congratulating me on 1yr completion... all the usual stuff... then v had a team meeting at 10.30... i entered the room with boredom as usual( i havnt attended a single interesting meeting at office so far;-)))))) My team is of size 28 and my classmates Ajay and Dinesh also belong to t same team... only 5 min after the meeting started tat v realised tat its agenda was to congratulate us for the wrk we did this year... it was nice... made us quite happy... our manager gave us 3 gifts... and i gotta a flower vase while other 2 got clock...
All this does not sound too exciting is it not!!!!!!!????!!!!

well nw comes the real thing which made this day great... after gifts wer distributed our manager told the entire team tat some friend of his is gonna share his thoughts over phone... i thought its gonna be some person( most probably a softskills trainer) who s gonna narrate a story or some inspirational event... he put the phone on speaker.... guess wat????!!!! it was my father speaking... he said he was really happy to speak on tat occasion n wished me success... never mind his words... his voice showed his excitement and happiness...he was really really happy.... it was a great moment... really great one:-)))))))))))) i was very moved.... similarly Ajay's and Dinesh's fathers spoke too... n they wer also as happy and excited as me... But my father called in first and so i was the lucky one who got this call as a total surprise gift(as for others they knew their fathers would call after mine was over) Later i learnt tat my manager n 1 tamil guy at my office took the pain to call all our fathers in the morn n had asked them to call back during meeting time...

I knew hw happy my father would hav been when my manager spoke to him n asked him to call.... tat made this day vry vry special.... after the meeting i conveyed my hearty thanks to manager for giving this great moment for both me n my father :-)))))) I shall nvr forget this day for years to cme and its alwys gonna occupy a spl place in my life...
Oh, this blog has become a very senti one... forgive me if it was boring guys... bt guess its kind of good to hav this senti one as my first blog... is it not????!!!????
